Thanks for listening to me whine yesterday!! YOU all are the best!
It rained all day today so I had an excuse to do nothing! My beloved front yard with all it's Hostas is coming in very, very nice. The tulips I planted last fall even came up. I have to enjoy them while I can as the squirrels love to steal them. I even got lilacs on my bushes! FINALLY!
Now if the rain would stop so I can enjoy it!

Isn't it great to whine sometimes, especially when we have great friends who are willing to listen to us? I envy you the lilacs. I just love their fragrance.

It was cold here today in NY. The AOL screen said it was 63. Wrong!!!!! It was maybe tops 50 here on LI. I was freezing but it didn't rain.
Soon you'll get out in that garden. : )

I've been sitting on my duff all day today trying to catch up on alerts! I started out this morning with 90 and I'm finally down to 4! I'm caught up!! yaaay! Now I can leave an entry! I can never leave a journal entry until I've read and commented on all my alerts! lol

Ricks grandma, Dorothy, died on 4/20/03. A week later we went to WM and bought a lilac bush.....for our backyard to honor her. It was her favorite flower. Yesteray was the the 3rd anniversary of her death and for the 1st time, it has lilacs blooming. How neat is that?

After all these years I finally have hostas. I planted them late summer, and they came up so pretty. I have to leave them behind. My huge lilacs are blooming, the forsythia is gorgeous, the tulips are so pretty. I will not really have any planting area in the condo. I will miss my park-like setting (that is how the realtor wrote it up, lol).
